Then, I Think Of You

You're always dancing thru my mind,
The faint echo of a love song;
I hear it thru the night,
And then I think of you.
Each day apart seems so long,
I await you as morning for light.
Then, I think of you.

I fall into this dream,
When I first met you.
I liked you and wanted to,
Wanted to see more of you.

You're always dancing thru my mind,
The faint echo of a love song;
I hear it thru the night,
And then I think of you.
Each day apart seems so long,
I await you as morning for light.
Then, I think of you.

It's a good dream of you,
I never felt out of comfort
When talking to you I felt,
Felt whole & mended of past hurt.

You're always dancing thru my mind,
The faint echo of a love song;
I hear it thru the night,
And then I think of you.
Each day apart seems so long,
I await you as morning for light.
Then, I think of you.

When I wake now,
I wake up sad and alone,
I long to dream again,
Back when your heart I did own.

You're always dancing thru my mind,
The faint echo of a love song;
I hear it thru the night,
And then I think of you.
Each day apart seems so long,
I await you as morning for light.
Then, I think of you...

Then, I think of you
and I still smile.

Tears on the Phone

You call me late last night
Tears drip through the receiver
You're cryin thru the phone
You say you're scared for me
You think I'm going it alone
And you want me to be...

Tears on the phone
You're not alone
Just stop running like you've been
Tears on the phone
Just come back home

I'm scared and I want you to know
You've been running for three years
You know you won't find
What you've been looking for
Just keep in mind
There's no need to run any more

Tears on the phone...
... come back home

You say you just want me to know
That you love me it's okay
You said you want me to see
We haven't talked in a while
And you miss knowing me
I need to pick up the phone n dial

Tears on the phone
I'm not alone
I know what I need to do
Your tears on the phone
I know I'm not alone
I can't promise I'm done
With my running
But I at least do know
That these tears show
You want me back home

How Lovely You Are Inside

It's not that hard to see
I'm sure that it's not on~ly me
Who notices this about you
Beauty you can not know
All I can say is

It's hard to hide
How lovely you are inside
You would never be one
To take away the fun
Of opening you up
It's hard to hide
How lovely yo~u are inside

You even light up the day
With clouds so deep grey
You break through any cloudy day
Which is why I don't just say
What I say lightly

It's hard to hide...
... how lovely yo~u are inside

Even when I try to put away
Everything my heart wants to say
I can't hide what you are
You're more than I know by far
Which makes me sing

It's so hard to hide
How lovely you are inside
You would never be the one
To take focus on yourself

Which is why, I take it on myself
To say~
It's hard to hide
How lovely yo~u are inside

Lovely yo~u are inside

Now I wisper in your ear
What I want you more anything to hear
How lovely yo~u are inside
I see who you are
Lovely, yo~u are inside

The Sin of My Eyes

I don't need you anymore,
Never did.
You've always been with me,
Since a kid.
Why did you and I have to meet,
I wish we never had.
How can I hold on to you so,
It's what makes me sad.

As a boy I played around,
Didn't understand what you were.
I did because you were new found,
You became a friend, my senses you stirred.

I don't need you anymore...
... It's what makes me mad.

As I grew I began to realize,
To see what you did.
I was still young with child eyes,
I couldn't always see you as a kid.

I don't need you anymore...
... It's what makes me sad.

As I grew yet older into a teen,
I became aware of your hurt.
If only earlier I had seen,
It would be easier to toss you like an old shirt.

I don't need you anymore...
... It's what makes me mad.

As I became a man I hate,
The thought of you at all.
Yet I can't open that gate,
To freedom from your wall.

I don't need you anymore...
... It's what makes me sad.

This man is weary now,
I ask you, Father, to take her away.
I befriended her, don't know how;
Didn't know who she was, free me I pray.

Dad, give me what I am to be;
Not this wretch with this weight.
Take away she who tears me down,
Let me not always take the bait.
Can I hold my head up high,
And carry a much lighter park;
As I begin again,
At her, never to look back.

That Moment in Time

I saw the light up in your castle window,
So I climbed the perilous tower to the top.
Up to what I took as my own;
I saved you then, but another saves you now.

Can I go back to that MOMENT IN TIME,
To that old TOLD TALE;
Back when I found you in time,
In POETRY'S PAST, where you went?
All I want is that chance again,
Chance to bring to now what has been.

That MOMENT IN TIME enchanted me;
Entranced me as though in a spell;
Like in a dance with you,
The surroundings faded as we danced.

Can I go back...
... what has been

This TOLD TALE is of a woman,
Swept away by this man;
Fighting peril and a dragon,
The creature to consume any that dare.

Can I go back...
... what has been

In POETRY'S PAST a knight ventured,
He saved and carried away;
She was saved, then past came.
She dashed POETRY'S PAST in a mist of haze.

Can I go back to that MOMENT IN TIME,
To that old TOLD TALE;
Back when I found you in time,
In POETRY'S PAST, where you went?
All I want is that chance again,
Chance to bring to now what has been.

TURN THE PAGE (CHANGE)

IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME,
BEFORE THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
YOU ARE AND YOU DON'T KNOW,
IT MAKES ME JUST SHOUT OUT;
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
I CAN'T UNDERSTAND, DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU.

YOU ARE WHAT SEEMS TWO.
YOU ARE SWEET AND KIND AT TIMES,
THEN WHAT CHANGES YOU?
YOU'RE BITTER AND UNKIND,
WHY DO YOU RAGE
AT WHAT YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE?
JUST TURN THE PAGE,
AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CHAPTER.
JUST TURN THE PAGE AND CHANGE.

TIME'S GONE BY, YOU SEE
AND YOU CAN'S TAKE IT BACK.
SO DON'T LOOK BACK AT IT IN RAGE.
YOU CAN MOVE ON WITH A LACK,
LACK OF REGRET AND REMORSE;
LET IT GO AND NEVER GO BACK THRU THOSE DOORS.

YOU ARE WHAT SEEMS TWO...
... AND CHANGE

THE TRUTH HAS COME OUT
AND YOU SEE WHAT TEARS YOU DOWN.
NOW YOU SEE THAT YOU CHANGED,
ARE YOU CHANGED NOW, NO LONGER DROWNED;
BY THE CHAINS OF FEAR AND REMORSE,
LEAVE THEM WASHED UP ON PAST'S SHORES.

YOU ARE WHAT SEEMS TWO...
... AND CHANGE

JUST BE THE ONE
THAT IS SWEET AND KIND.
PLEASE DON'T CHANGE
AND IF YOU WOULDN'T MIND
DON'T BEAT YOURSELF DOWN
OVER THE WAVES OF PAST MISTAKE.
YOU NEED TO NO LONGER DROWN;
JUST TURN THE PAGE FOR A CHANGE.

I Fear I've Lost My Way

I don't wanna be here, again.
How did I get here I wonder?
I've lost my way I fear,
This cloud of despair and confusion I'm under.
I look to the right and it's a dark path;
A look to the left and it's stormy n black;
Then look behind, I'm blinded by it;
All I need is to look ahead, never look back.

Keepin' my eyes up, can't look down.
If I look to the side, I fall down.
You pick me up, you hold me;
You carry me above this cloud of misery;
Show me the path I can not see;
Carry me through the valley I call LOST.

How am I here again;
Where is the light, I can't see?
I've lost my way again,
Through this dark forest, the storm crushes me.
I look around, and my eyes adjust.
The forest gives me no comfort of any kind;
It's closing in on me;
I close my eyes, try to put it behind.

Keepin' my eyes up...

Why do I come back,
When did I fall back down?
I've lost the way in the black,
The black swamp in which I struggle and then drown.
I'm only sinking, without any hope;
No hope of ever being free of it.
It's covering me, pulling me under.
Will this journey end, the bottom I've hit?

Keepin' my eyes up...

Please carry me
Cause I've lost my way

Get What I Can Take

Pleased to meet you,
Let me introduce myself.
You're just someone to speak to,
I'll tell you all about self.
Self is what I live for,
Self is what got me to this place.
I hit the bottom, struck the floor;
Cracked my head, hit my face.

Now I'm sitting here
Holding my head in my hand.
Does life turn up from here?
How do I lift my head up?
I seem to be getting nowhere,
So I'll just get what I can take,
Get what I can take.

I'm searchin' for the wrong thing,
That's why it doesn't turn out.
Bad love songs in my head ring,
They don't tell how things really turn out.
Boy doesn't meet girl and then,
They just are swept into the night.
Boy breaks girls heart and that's when,
They just walk away, that's not right.

Now I'm kneeling here
Holding my head...

What am I looking to,
In my cynical storm of disappointment?

I don't even know,
Don't know what I'm saying, what I meant.
I just want to see
If it can happen a second time.
Can this heart just be
Swept away again like that one time?

Now I'm lying here
Holding my head...

Is this how it feels,
To not feel anymore?
I'm told the heart heals.
I don't believe that anymore.
I'm so cold, absent of feeling,
I just don't feel it anymore.
This my last song, staring up to the ceiling;
I can't feel it anymore

this despair holds me more than she ever did,
why am I hopeless now?
my feeling for anything I would even rid
to take my hope back, but how?

Your Pain

written in part for a girl and in part for me

You don't tell everybody what you go thru,
But I can see how much different you are.
You are beautiful when you are... just you.
Is your mind from here off afar?
You try to smile even when it has been a while
Since you've been rested peacefully,
Then you try to ignore the pain and smile
And look so tender and peaceful,
But you don't answer the question of...

How do you do what you do
You do all the things that you do,
With the pain in your eyes and sighs
And the tries at being normal,
Is this formal?
Does your mind ever know peace,
Does it cease? All your pain as you remain
You_ _

Do I understand
Will it just go, and you just stay,
I demand to try and stand
In the shoes that hurt every day.
When I ask you how you are
And I don't know how far
Is your mind from this place where you ache.
Oh God, if from you, this I could take,
I would, but you don't answer the question of...

How do you do...
...You_ _

Can you just close your eyes, feel warmth on your face;
Throw your head back, and let it go?
Feel the sun melt your cares, in its embrace;
Can your mind know peace and let go?
Did I not care for you, pay you enough attention;
How beautiful you look tonight, did I forget to mention?
Take those inconsiderations away I would,
To ease your pain, I wish I could.
Yet you still don't answer the question of...

How do you do...
...You~ ~ ~

End of the Rope

no, i say there's nothing left;
nothing now, I look right and left.
i look above, i see the rope;
i look below, there's no more rope.
how do i go on now?
please tell me, tell me how.
i don't know, i've got no more hope;
yeah, i'm at the end of my rope.

i feel so betrayed;
. . . i betrayed myself.
i knew i should have stayed;
. . . i betrayed myself.
i just closed my ears,
. . . and turned away.
now i shed these tears,
. . . and can only pray.
God, please take me from
. . . this place of death.
i know that i need some
. . . escape from this death.
i feel that life is gone, but i still breathe...

but, i still say there's nothing left;
nothing now...

it's a desert here,
. . . only sand and no water at all.
all i feel is fear,
. . . i need water, but there's none at all.
i'm hurtin' now,
. . . cut and bleeding on the sand.
i don't know how,
. . . my mouth is parched, i look at my hand.
it's raw and red,
. . . i try holding on;
i hear what i said,
. . . and try holding on.
i'm alright and i'm okay...

no, i say there's nothing left;
nothing now...

i still gripped,
. . . my hand is weak,
my pride is stripped,
. . . my head is weak.
i fall now,
. . . i finally see how

i say there's nothing left;
nothing now, i look right and left.
i look above, there's no more rope;
i look below, i now have Hope.
i can now, in you live;
this water, to me you give.
you hold me up, give me Hope;
i don't need this filthy rope.

I Feel Alright

I'm feeling the walls build up
Try to minimize the pain
I'm brought to welled up eyes
Then a tear creeps down

Somewhat numb and cold ((bridge))
The darkness & vast sky set in
Sadness & regret I feel

And I feel al~right
. . . Not great or awesome
. . I feel al~right
. . . Not bad or angry
But I feel al~right
. . & I'll sit thru the night

I'm feeling the sky darken
Another day comes to close
The sun fades beyond trees
Like our time together

((bridge))
And I feel al~right...

I'm feeling the chill set in
I feel so cheated
Couldn't you wait for me?
My emotions fall flat

((bridge))
And I feel al~right...

Do I try to convince myself?
Everything is okay
Then my mind & heart go blank
I just feel numb
I miss you...
I miss you...
I miss you...

Oh oh, I love you

What is it you think you miss?
Is it her soft and gentle kiss?
Is it her sweet and lovely way?
Or is it all the things she'd say?

Oh oh oh oh, I love you~~
Oh oh oh oh, I miss you
How was your day, is what she'd say
And now she isn't here

What is it you're looking for?
A beauty from London, a far off shore?
Is it one talk too late at night?
She's so lovely at first sight

Oh oh oh oh, I love you ...

What do you think you need?
So much advice you did not heed
You don't even know how
To be happy now

Oh oh oh oh, I love you ...

Just get over it
And stop looking
You don't even know what will make you happy
Oh oh, I love you
Oh oh, I miss you
Only once more could I kiss you
I miss you

Fog on the Moon

Up in the sky I look
Strangely familiar to what I see
Dark night around me
Cool but not cold

Fog on the moon
Like the fog on my heart
I am afraid
And I don't want to start
Over, Fog on the moon
Like the fog on my heart

Once so clear it used to be
I was a boy who was
Happy just because
Everything was so new

Fog on the moon...

A few years changed me
And strangely I still thought I knew
What I wanted, what was true
Time passes fast with

Fog on the moon...

My heart's dimmed and covered
By a haze of mist
There's something that I have missed
Pieces of my heart with

Fog on the moon
Like the fog on my heart
I am afraid
And I don't want to start
Over again
A fog on the moon
Like the fog on my heart
I miss the clear nights as a boy
Fog on the moon
Will pass soon
Away

No More Dreams

I don't believe my dreams anymore
Synical I now choose to be
I'm not that old, for life to seem so cold
I'll just sit, n wait, n see ~~
I try too hard sometimes
I know I will eventually
Pay for these crimes

Dreamy and Lucid
Dreaming of happy
Her eyes holding me

Then my mind scolding me
Oh, can't you see hee ~~
No more dreams... so it seems
No more dreams. No more dreams

Reality seems so cold to me
Synical I now choose to see
What brought me here, what Do I fear
I'll just stand, n walk, n be ~~
I know I'm a mess
I wanna fall into slumber
I would have no less

Dreamy and Lucid...

I realize that it will fade with time
Synical I not choose to be
Just forget her, will it get better
I'll just sit, n wait, n see ~~
Always right there
In the back of my mind
What's the point to care

Dreamy and Lucid...

Wake up I tell me in my ear
We haven't talked in a while you see
I hang out with myself, think too much of self
I'll just wake myself, n yawn, n start a new dream to be
With no dreams at night
So sad a state of mine
Synical creeps from sight

No more dreams it seems
Don't want no more dreams
Dream of happy
Her eyes hold me
Then my mind smiles at me
Oh, can't I see hee ~~
Dreams it seems
Dreams give reason, Dreams take me thru this season
Dreams... it seems... dreams
Then I wake

(Nothing) Never Felt So Good

From the porch where I see
There is no need
To get up off my butt
I'll just sit and be...

Don't need to get up
There is no need
Such a lazy day
Sit and say sup

Doin' nothin' never felt soooo good
Wouldn't get up even if I could
Never felt so good
Get up maybe I should
But noghting never felt so good

Florida breeze does so appease
There is no need
For anything more
Nothing too deep, there's no reas(on)

Doin' nothin'...

A strangely leaning tree seems to be saying
There is no need
Sit under me & be
Gravity keeps me from playing

Doin' nothin'...

I am lazy, I am hazy
Eyes are numb, what a bum
Never felt so good
Lazy... hazy
Numb... bum

I'll Disappoint You

New days open with the sun,
I see you every one;
And my heart hurts
When I see your face.
I guess that an odd way to say,
But I just said in case,
So you know what I fear.

There's this creeping deep inside,
Sometimes I think you'll clear your view,
You'll see me more clearly
And I'll disappoint you.
I'll disappoint you.

Today the same as last,
I see you go past;
And I love hearing
What you did yesterday.
I guess it's funnier to me,
That you got cooked that way,
But I just can't help but think.

Now I'm just resigned,
To always be defined
By the mistakes I made,
And never by how I've changed.
It's so lame to think that way,
And I know I'll soon exchange
Those thoughts but still I say.

Lost, Dead and Drowning

I'm walking a forest glade;
You're by my side
And you are my guide,
Showing me where to go
And slowly I do grow.
Suddenly I don't need you
And I push you aside.
Oh no, I don't need to
Stand by your side.
But slowly as I push ahead
And push you back

I realize that
I'm lost without you
Yes, I need you
I'm lost without you
Lost without you, Lord.

I'm climbin' up this mountain;
You're by my side
And you are my guide.
Showin' me where to place my feet,
And how to stay cool in this heat.
But now I don't need you
I can survive on my own
Oh no, I don't need to
Do what you have shown.
But surely as I get higher,
I can't breathe any more

I realize that
I'm dead w/o you
Yes I need you
I'm dead w/o you, Lord.

I'm wading in this river
You're by my side
And you are my guide.
Showin' me how to swim now,
Stayin' afloat, you're teachin' me how.
Then out comes a dark cloud,
The water rising over my head.
I don't need you, I am proud
I can swim alone, I sink instead.
I desperately cry out and groan.
My last breathe I release and

I realize that
I'm drowned w/o you
Yes I need you
I'm drowned w/o you
Drowned w/o you, Lord

I desperately reach for your hand,
Cause I know that
I'm lost w/o you
I'm dead w/o you
and I'm drowned w/o you.
I need your breathe of life
To restore me, rescue me from my strife.
Take away this thin pride,
Cause I know this river is wide.
Take this anger from me,
Cause the mountain is higher that I can see.
Take away this greed,
Cause my journey is long, your direction I need.

Getting Old and Dying More

I am told we begin to die
The first day this world is born to us.
Looking to heaven above I only try
To instead focus on the first day your new world is born to us.
I pray to be true to you,
Though I glory in this apathy.
I want only to be true,
But I just seem to be

Getting older,
And dying more.
This flame is starting to smolder,
It I want you to restore.
Getting weaker,
And trying more.
My like only a chore.

I am told life is what you make of it,
And I don't want to make anything today.
I just want to die some more, lay back a bit;
Return to where I'm from, I sit and play.
I wallow in my dirty surrounding,
And I joy in my apathy.
On my heart, there is a pounding,
But I just seem to be

Getting older,
And dying more...

I am told that life is beautiful,
But that's not what I'm needing.
I don't need to be told she's beautiful,
Cause beauty is only fleeting.
What good is a thing as that?
The passion of youth fades away;
I'll just get fade,
N she'll turn gray.

Getting older,
And dying more.
I see a flame seem to grow though older,
My life you will restore.
Though I am weaker
You give me more.
I am now a life keeper,
My life you restore.

I'm Tired

What a long day it's been,
I close my eyes and then
I grimace at the thought of it.
Will I never learn to walk,
There's all too much talk
Of change, but after that I quit.
Always puttin' on my best face,
And try to hide the real face,
Which is so tired of the thought of it.

I say I'm fine
Just gimme some time.
I'll put on an new face
To hide my old face,
The one that says I'm tired of searchin', yearning and I pray,
For that one that will hold my hand and make the world fade away.

The shadows grow longer now,
And I just want to know how
I can let go and let it fly.
Why do I so race,
Why do I chase,
After what will just make me cry;
Cry out in anger,
I feel like a stranger
A stranger just walking by.

I say I'm fine
Just gimme some time.
I'll put on an new face
To hide my old face,
The one that says I'm tired of searchin', yearning and I pray,
For that one that will hold my hand and make the world fade away.

Is the night so bad?
In the loneliness I am glad;
There's no one for me to hurt;
Who do I call at the end of the day?
Inside my heart, this night will stay.
They are empty and full of hurt,
All these times I flirt and try,
To make that one want to fly
Into my arms, now I hurt.

But I only say I'm fine
Just gimme some time.
I'll put on my best face
Hiding my real face,
The real face that says I don't want to hurt anymore and I pray,
For you to hold my hand and make my troubles fade away.
