Hey buddy
Sorry I've been so down lately
But I can't seem to get release
Can't seem to find peace
But here I am
Release me from what's so heavy
Air thick n heavy
Hard to inhale
But you know that you have to breathe
Yeah, your life is like that
Yeah it's like that
Every man asks himself
Am I what I could be
Or just a result
Of all these mistakes
Am I fake
Or even just a mistake
Air thick n heavy
Hard to inhale
But you know that you have to breathe
Yeah, your life is like that
Yeah it's like that
Time is just one thing
You don't have time to waste
Cause time will pass you by
If you don't wake up n taste
And see where you've been placed
No coincidence, all these things you've faced
Air thick n heavy
Hard to inhale
But you know that you have to breathe
Yeah, your life is like that
Yeah it's like that
That's the thing about pain
At least it lets you know you're still alive
Air thick n heavy
Hard to inhale
But you know that you have to breathe
Yeah, your life is like that
Yeah it's like that
And I'm still fightin to breathe
Cause life's gotten thick
Past feels so heavy
It's hard to think of loving again
Nothing's new anymore
But something new is weighing on me
Air thick n heavy
Hard to inhale
But you know that you have to breathe
Yeah, your life is like that
You're no mistake
That's how it is
Yeah it's like that

Writing what's been going on is refreshing and reminds you of what the Lord's done in your life. Ya know, some thoughts are well expressed while others are just jumbled in your head. That's kind of how some of mine are. At times I'm really able to express what's going on, but sometimes I'm just in a processing phase.

The Heavy Veil
When there's pains you have created
It's something and you made it
N all you wish was that it faded
Oh ooo oh, just stand up
Cause is there any shred of light
Beyond this heavy veil
Cause I've meant push these curtains aside
But seemed to sit in the there
When there's pains you have created
It's something and you made it
N all you wish was that it faded
Oh ooo oh, just stand up
Nothings as bad as it seems
When you're behind the veil
But how would you know it
Just cause you always feel like you'll fail
When there's pains you have created
It's something and you made it
N all you wish was that it faded
Oh ooo oh, just stand up
If you'd just stand up
Stand up with me
Just stand up
And I know there's light you'll see
When there's pains you have created
It's something and you made it
N all you wish was that it faded
Oh ooo oh, just stand up
Cause if you'd pick yourself up
You'd see that there were others
Sitting right beside you
And you lift them up like sisters n brothers
When there's pains you have created
It's something and you made it
N all you wish was that it faded
Oh ooo oh, just stand up
If there's nothing else you remember
Just... do... as I say
Reach your hand forward
Push on the heavy veil
And when you see the daylight
Walk into it
Cause right now your life's so stale

Never Find Their Home
Oh oh
I don't know
Maybe some people are meant to be alone
They never find their home
I don't know
Maybe that's supposed to be me
I guess I'll have to wait n see
You talk to yourself too much
If you just asked someone other than you
You might find that what you think
Just isn't true
Some people look around for it
And others know where to look
Some never find their home
It's so sad alone
Cause you'll never find your home
Um um
Why don't you
Just stop being so pathetic in your self pity
You'll never be satisfied
You don't know
Who you're supposed to be
But guess you could be
You catch yourself overthinking
Always second guessing yourself
If you never take a chance
You'll be safe but not alive
Some people look around
And others know where it is
Some never find their home
Resolved to be alone
Cause you'll never find your home
Sometimes seems like you alone in the night
You call a few numbers on your phone
And all you get is the tone
You feel alone
It's okay, cause you'll be held
Just not now
Somehow, that does very little
For one who's chilled to the bone
Tired, alone
Just lift your head
Cause you're already home
What you were looking for
Was where you breathed, and walked
You talked too much
If only you'd listened
You're home
You're home
You're home

Relient
There are some things
That will always be
They say ya need to trust yourself
But I've learned
Self's the one thing
You should never trust alone
Can ya help me out
So I can make it
Can ya gimme a hand
I can't take it
I can only hold myself
From self-destructing
If ya gimme some help
Cause it's innate in me
To do what's just gonna
Tear what's good down to the ground
Can ya help me out
So I can make it
Can ya gimme a hand
I can't take it
There are some things
That you should always do
Reliance is a learned mindset
But it don't come easy
Smack myself in the face
I know I'll always be relient
Can ya help me out
Can ya gimme a hand
So I can make it
Or else I don't think
I can't take it
They say it's a sign of weakness
But when you come
To destroy yourself again
It'll knock ya down
And hold ya there
He won't letcha demolish yourself
Can ya help me out
Cause you're the only one who can
Can ya gimme a hand
So I can make it
If I don't lay down my arms
I know I can't take it
Hey boy
Don't listen to they
Because what they'll always say
Will always drop ya hard

Childhood Heroes
Doo doo (whistle...)
Oh oh
Everything's not what it seems
Sometimes reality's not as fun
As imagination
Do ya really wanna
Really really wanna
Tear apart childhood memories
Let's see the flaws of favorite childhood heroes
Everyone's not what they seemed
When you were little
There goes my memories
You remember Robin Hood
He always knew
That he was foxy
Sometimes let it go to his head
Had to call his big fuzzy friend
Little John, so make himself
Feel a little bigger
Do ya really wanna
Really really wanna
Tear apart childhood memories
Let's see the flaws of favorite childhood heroes
Everyone's not what they seemed
When you were little
There goes my memories
Do you recall King Arthur
Since a little boy
He was far too trusting
Of those who'd betray him
His closest and dearest friend
Lancelot, he stole his love
There's trust for ya
Do ya really wanna
Really really wanna
Tear apart childhood memories
Let's see the flaws of favorite childhood heroes
Everyone's not what they seemed
When you were little
There goes my memories
I know you know Peter Pan
Flew around pirates
He would never grow up
Content to always stay young
But never is an awfully long time
To be a young lost boy
In Neverland
Do ya really wanna
Really really wanna
Tear apart childhood memories
Let's see the flaws of favorite childhood heroes
Everyone's not what they seemed
When you were little
There goes my memories
Now I don't think
Reality is so harsh
I just remember my childhood heroes
I know not to think too much
Of myself
I know to trust
But not too much
And I know I can be young
But not forever
Or I'll be lost
Woo hoo hoo (whistle...)
