Walkin' along this gravel path, I feel a faint breeze on my face, And I'm smirkin' at my life. I stroll along, keep up the pace, no race, Do I want to change anything, I hold out just in case; But I kick back, smiling at my life. I'm just kicking stones, And puttin' my feet ahead; The outside just drones As I hum inside my head. & I'm just kicking stones, Walking where the road has led; And the sunlight fades, All the noise is dead. What in the world is worry for, I don't even know; I just kick it out the door, no more, And I know I want to go, oh oh Walkin down some old dirt road. This path is never such a chore. Cause I'm kickin' stones, And placin' these feet ahead; Outside noise just drones; As I sing inside my head, And I'm just kickin' stones Walking where I'm led; And rays of sunlight fade, And all sound now is dead. Thinkin' about tomorrow, Why do I need to do that? Why do I think about tomorrow? A peace of mind I'll borrow, Cause that day tomorrow, has enough to worry about itself So I'll put it on the shelf. Cause I'm kickin' stones, Plantin' my feet ahead. The wind just drones, And I wisper inside my head. And I'm just kickin' stones, Walkin' where I've led'; And the moonlight fades All the noise outside is dead. Fading into the night With the sun having gone down. With the sun went light, I walk through a darkened town. Do I need to worry where I've been, I trust you now and then. But, I want to throw my head back And throw it all away... ...worries fade away ...fade with the light ...fade into the night
