Sepia Sundown

The sky is redish in hue
This warm summer night
Beautiful is what I said, it's true
You knew I was looking at you

When the sun fades in the sky
It's beautiful each time

It's not the most beautiful
When it's high in the sky
Or when it's gone, no one can see
But when it's in the middle
The sepia sundown lights up every tree

Won't be much longer
Till the rose color's gone
Lovely is what I'm thinking
And now I'm thinking of her

It's fading behind the trees
Still beautiful in my eyes

She's not the most beautiful
When she's high in the sky
Or when she's gone, no one can see
But when she's in the middle
The sepia sundown lights up every tree

Almost faded all the way
A deep orange warmth fading
It's so breath-taking and soothing
How she makes me wanna stay

Now faded, leaving only dark
Remembering the beauty

It's not the most beautiful
When it's high in the sky
Or when it's gone, no one can see
But when it's in the middle
The sepia sundown lights up every tree

Now this lovely lady isn't most beautiful
When she's shining bright
Or when she's tryin to shove me
But when she's changing
Her sepia sundown is so lovely

The night sky is dark a calm
So we sit on the hammock
And wait for the stars

Written about the beauty of God's lovely sundowns and a picture of a girl who's as beautiful as that sundown... actually, far more beautiful.
