Dreamer

Seeing clearly
Something so foreign to me
Do I really even see who is she
Is she really even the she she seems to be
Or is friend really the she
I could never see
So consumed with me and what me can see

She was always a dreamer
An
d I'm a little crazy

What I would give to only hold her

Just friend seems to be selling out

And selling us short

Cold night

A chill from a cool breeze

Sit a little longer tonight please

Do I imagine what my eye sees

Or do we feel the same breeze

I can't make pleas

So please be straight with me please

She was always a dreamer

And I'm a little crazy

What I would give to only hold her

Just friend seems to be selling out

And selling us short

Fall too fast

Or maybe I think more has been

Sometimes I really ask when

When has then ever been

Really a time I feel I can

Do what I meant

Just living in a dream of something never been

She was always a dreamer

And I'm a little crazy

What I would give to only hold her

Just friend seems to be selling out

And selling us short

But I do feel

I'll never be the

He that she may need

So I'll stay friend

And walk back alone

(#54)
This is not the first song about my dear friend. I've forced myself to say that I will never be enough for her. I tell myself she will never see me in the light that I see her. I tell myself that she is not for me... yet why does the thought of her plague. It becomes less by the day, but increases when we hang out. Does that mean that the journey to Alaska would be the only way to have true solitude? Do I need to leave this town?
